Global Nurse Advice Line: Your Partner in Health
Defense Health Agency
July 2, 2026 | 1:43
The Global Nurse Advice Line connects TRICARE beneficiaries with registered nurses by phone, chat, or video. It’s available 24/7 and it’s free! Some of the services include:

- Answering your healthcare questions
- Assessing your symptoms and giving recommendations for the most appropriate steps to take
- Providing instructions to treat minor issues or self-care tips that you can use at home
- Helping locate an appropriate urgent care or emergency care facility, if necessary
- Helping you schedule an appointment at a military hospital or clinic if you’re enrolled

Sometimes you need a quick answer to a health question. Maybe your concern can’t wait until you see your doctor. The NAL can help when you’re feeling sick, worried about what medicine to take for your symptoms, or not sure if you should seek medical care.
