A dental visit means being examined by your dentist, who diagnoses and treats conditions that can range from routine to extremely complex. Members of the dental team may include a dentist, dental assistants, lab technicians, and dental hygienists.
The following services are available for all Active Duty personnel assigned to the base:
- Routine Fillings
- Root Canal Procedures
- Oral Surgery with IV Sedation
The clinic uses the Active Duty Dental Program (ADDP) in conjunction with providers in the local and surrounding areas for advanced specialty care.
Comprehensive orthodontic care is not available, although civilian care can be approved by commanders at the member's expense.
How to Make an Appointment
Call the MDG appointment line at 660-687-2188 and follow the prompts. Dental sick call is managed on an appointment basis. Follow-up appointments are made at the time of the periodic dental exam appointment or by calling the Dental Clinic.
A dentist can be reached for after-hours dental emergencies (acute swelling, active bleeding, severe uncontrolled pain or trauma) by calling the number above and following the prompts.
Dental care for non-active duty personnel is extremely limited.
