Immunizations
We are a walk-in clinic. All patients are recommended to wait a minimum of 15 minutes post vaccination to ensure no adverse events occur. TB skin tests require 48 to 72 hours before it can be reviewed, so plan accordingly with holidays and weekends. No TB skin tests will be placed on Thursdays. Smallpox briefings and vaccinations are only on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. Patients will be required to provide their screening form filled out, signed and stamped by a flight physician on the day of they receive the smallpox vaccine.
Shingles vaccine is available for patients 60 years of age and older. Any patients requesting the vaccine under age 60 will require a prescription from their physician. Pneumonia vaccine is available for pediatric patients 12 months and younger and patients 65 years of age and older. Any patients requiring the pneumonia vaccine 19-64 will require a prescription from their physician. Planning leisure travel?
Please see Public Health prior to the immunizations clinic for required screening regarding foreign travel. For a copy of your shot record, contact Release of Information at 660-687-2101 and they can request your vaccination record from another facility or fax a copy to your off base provider. Any sponsor requesting a vaccine record for a dependent 18 years or older must provide a consent from Release of Information. Immunization record transcriptions is a maximum 72 hour turnaround period.
Influenza Vaccine Update
Flu season is upon us. We are concerned about your health and encourage everyone to get vaccinated annually against influenza.
It’s critical that everyone who is able receives a flu vaccine. It’s essential that active duty service members, active duty family members and other beneficiaries are well-protected from influenza.
