Services include: exams; cleanings; routine fillings; crowns; root canal procedures; and oral surgery with IV sedation are available for all active duty personnel assigned to the base. The clinic uses the Active Duty Dental Program in conjunction with providers in the local and surrounding areas for advanced specialty care. Comprehensive orthodontic care is not available although civilian care can be approved by commanders at the member's expense. Dental sick call is managed on an appointment basis. Periodic dental examinations are scheduled for active duty members through their unit health monitor. Follow-up appointments are made at the time of the periodic dental exam appointment or by calling the Dental Clinic. A dentist can be reached for after-hours dental emergencies (acute swelling, active bleeding, severe uncontrolled pain or trauma) by calling the number above. Dental care for non-active duty personnel is extremely limited. Family members of active duty service members are strongly encouraged to enroll in the TRICARE Dental Program.
